Create a Doll That Feels Truly Yours
Every doll has her own personality, and sometimes you already have a very specific girl in mind.
With a Commission Doll, you can work with me to create a doll that reflects your own ideas and imagination.
During the commission process, we will discuss the face sculpt, custom face-up, eyes, and overall styling of your doll. You can share your inspiration, reference images, colours, characters, or even a specific design you would like to see painted on her face.
The goal is to bring your vision to life while allowing me to add my own artistic touch to the final creation.
How It Works
01 — Start Your Commission
A $20 deposit is required to begin the commission process.
After placing your deposit, I will ask you to share your ideas for the doll you would like to create.
The more visual references you can provide, the better I can understand your vision.
You are welcome to send:
-
Reference photos
-
Drawings or sketches
-
Makeup inspiration
-
Colour palettes
-
Character references
-
Face-up examples
-
Hair or styling references
-
Specific details you would like painted on the face
-
Patterns, symbols, or designs you would like included
If you have something very specific in mind, I highly recommend sending reference images whenever possible.
You do not need to have everything figured out before contacting me. If you only have a general mood, colour palette, or feeling in mind, I can also help you develop the concept.
02 — Choose Your Face Sculpt
During our consultation, we will discuss which face sculpt would best suit your commission.
Different face sculpts can give a doll a completely different personality and overall feeling, so this is an important part of the creative process.
Depending on your vision, we may discuss:
-
The shape and features of the face
-
The overall personality you want your doll to have
-
The style of makeup you would like
-
The character or mood you want to express
-
Which available face sculpt would best suit your design
You can choose from the available face sculpt options I offer for commissions.
If you are unsure which face sculpt would work best, you can tell me about your vision and I can help recommend one based on the overall look and personality you are hoping to create.
The final face sculpt will be confirmed before I begin the creation process.
03 — Design Your Custom Face-Up
Once the face sculpt has been discussed, we will work together on the custom face-up.
The face-up is the main focus of the commission and can include details such as:
-
Blush
-
Eyebrows
-
Eye makeup
-
Lip colour
-
Freckles
-
Beauty marks
-
Decorative details
-
Special painted elements
-
Patterns or designs
-
Other facial details
You can provide reference images, drawings, or examples of makeup styles you love.
If you would like something specific painted directly onto the doll's face, please include a clear reference whenever possible.
I will use your ideas and references as inspiration while creating the final face-up in my own artistic style.
The final result will be a handmade artistic interpretation of your vision rather than an exact reproduction of your reference images.
04 — Choose Your Eyes
Your commissioned doll can be created with either standard eyes or custom eyes.
Standard Eyes
You may choose from my available standard eye options.
Custom Eyes
If you would like eyes specifically created to complement your custom face-up, custom eyes are available for an additional $15.
Custom eyes can be designed around:
-
Your face-up colours
-
Your preferred colour palette
-
Your character concept
-
A specific mood
-
Special details or effects
If you would like custom eyes, please let me know during the consultation and provide any colour preferences or reference images you may have.
The $15 custom eye fee is additional to the regular price of the doll.
05 — Confirm Your Doll & Final Price
Once we have discussed and confirmed:
-
Your face sculpt
-
Your custom face-up
-
Your eye option
-
Any additional requests
I will confirm the final price of your commissioned doll.
The commissioned doll is generally priced the same as the regular price of the corresponding doll in my shop.
The $20 deposit is required to begin the commission process and will be applied toward the final purchase price of your doll.
Additional charges may apply if you request custom eyes or custom clothing.
Pricing
Commission Deposit: $20
Doll: Priced according to the corresponding regular doll price
Custom Eyes: +$15
Custom Clothing: Additional fee based on design and materials
Any additional costs will be discussed and confirmed with you before I proceed.
06 — Custom Clothing
The Commission Doll service primarily focuses on the face sculpt and custom face-up.
Clothing is not automatically included as part of the face-up commission.
If you would like a specific outfit or custom-designed clothing created especially for your doll, this may be possible depending on the design and materials required.
Custom clothing will involve:
-
An additional fee
-
Additional design time
-
Additional production time
The final price will depend on the complexity of the design, materials, and amount of work involved.
Please provide clothing references or ideas during the consultation so I can confirm the additional cost and estimated timeline before proceeding.
Please note that adding custom clothing may make the overall commission timeline longer than the standard 2–3 week production time.
07 — The Creation Process
Once all commission details have been discussed and confirmed, I will begin creating your doll.
A typical commission takes approximately:
2–3 Weeks
The exact timeline may vary depending on:
-
Face-up complexity
-
Face sculpt availability
-
Custom eye requests
-
Custom clothing
-
Material availability
-
My current commission queue
If your commission includes custom clothing or other special requests, additional production time may be required.
I will provide you with an estimated timeline based on your specific commission.
08 — Face-Up Approval & Final Sealing
Before I begin the final sealing process, I will confirm the main face-up design with you.
Please take your time when discussing your desired makeup and providing reference images.
Once the face-up has been finalized and the doll has entered the final sealing and finishing process, changes to the makeup are no longer accepted.
This is because the face-up needs to be carefully sealed and protected. Once the final sealing process has begun, making changes may affect the finished surface and overall result.
For this reason, please make sure you are happy with the agreed-upon face-up design before I begin the final finishing process.
Minor artistic adjustments may be made during the painting process to ensure the final face-up looks balanced and natural on the doll's individual face.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Every Doll Fits commission is handmade and individually created.
Because the face-up is painted by hand, small variations are natural and should be expected. These details are part of what makes each commissioned doll unique.
Reference images are an important part of the creative process, but the final result will be an artistic interpretation rather than an exact reproduction.
The chosen face sculpt and its individual facial features will also influence how the final makeup appears.
My goal is to create a doll that captures the personality, mood, and feeling you have imagined while allowing the finished piece to retain its own unique character.
